Accessibility First provides step-by-step planning and design for new and other building environments. Working closely with each client through the entire design process, Paul and his team simultaneously design both the interior of the home and its exterior surroundings, simply considering one as a natural extension of the other.
The goal of the full design is to provide each client with aesthetically pleasing environments complete with the required technical features.
The first and most important tool we utilize for home planning and design is Accessible SmartPlanTM. This planning tool is a questionnaire and working document that is used to generate ideas, questions and lots of good discussion. The entire process considers the client’s wishes while at the same time considering issues such as budgeting. The more we understand you, the better we can help you.
Each client is presented with a variety of solutions intended to meet their specified requirements and achieve clearly defined objectives. These may include features as simple as easy to operate door handles combined with minimum door thresholds, installation of ramps and elevators, inclusion of pressure or voice activated light switches, to name a few.
